What an honor to welcome Miki to our dojo in Barrie this Monday! Miki, who now lives in the Netherlands, and is none other than Senpai Dezso’s brother—and a former Kyokushin karateka from his youth. Despite a long break from training, he jumped right into class and did exceptionally well!
It was incredible to share the dojo floor together—our families, the Fogarasi’s and Muzsi’s, have known each other for nearly 15 years since Senpai Dezso began training at CKMA. Having Miki join us for the first time made the moment even more special.
It’s Never Too Late to Restart Karate
The journey in martial arts is not solely defined by the years spent training but by the passion and spirit that resides within. Once Kyokushin is truly in your heart, it becomes a part of you that is hard to get rid of.
The Spirit of a Fighter
Miki, you’ve still got the spirit of a fighter—I’d love to see you back on the Kyokushin path someday! Until then, Osu for your courage and effort.
Hope to train with you again soon!
Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or someone looking to reignite your passion, remember that the dojo is always open. We welcome everyone with open arms, because the heart of Kyokushin is about resilience, community, and the relentless pursuit of self-improvement.
Join us on this journey, and let’s grow together!
Shihan Steve.
Osu!
