Awesome Martial Arts Fun at Our Mississauga Workshop!
On Saturday, June 21st, our Contact Kicks Martial Arts school in Mississauga was full of energy! More than 35 students, 10 years and older, joined our super fun Striking and Submission workshop for a day of amazing training.
Learning Cool Kickboxing Moves
In the first half of the day, Shihan Steve taught everyone important skills for kickboxing. We learned how to block strikes and protect our heads. Students practiced awesome punches, kicks, and combinations. The room was buzzing with excitement as everyone worked hard to get better!
Trying Awesome BJJ Ground Skills
Later, Senpai Chris showed us cool moves to control opponents on the ground. These skills come from a martial art called Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, or BJJ. We also learned how some of our karate moves are related to BJJ. For many of our karate students, this was their first time trying BJJ, and they had a great time taking on the new challenge!
A Day Full of Energy and Friendship
Even though it was a hot day, everyone gave it their all and had a ton of fun. Our martial arts school was filled with smiles, teamwork, and good feelings. Students helped each other, made new friends, and loved learning new things together.
The Importance of Trying New Things
This workshop was a great example of how important it is to try new things. Seeing our karate students so excited to learn a different martial art was awesome. Learning new skills doesn't just make us better in class—it helps us grow as people, too.
Thank You!
A huge thank you to everyone who came to our fun martial arts workshop. It was a big success, and we can't wait for the next one! Keep an eye out for more chances to learn and have fun with us at CKMA!
