What is Tameshiwari?

- Tameshiwari in Karate Kyokushin is the practice of breaking objects, typically wooden boards, using precise hand and foot techniques. It serves as a training tool to improve striking skills, a symbol of a martial artist's focus and control, and a mental discipline exercise.

Safety is paramount, and it often plays a role in grading. It's a powerful representation of Karate's core principles.
