REPORT - Spring Grading

Over 50 students participated, including 4 black belt candidates, in a fast-paced testing session covering fitness, basics, forms, and fighting parts. Participants were also quizzed on general karate knowledge and technical aspects.

Grading is the result of the hard work and commitment that the students have displayed over the months and years of training.

For those promoted to the rank of Shodan, 1st degree black belt, a new level now starts. They should understand more deeply the meaning of each technique and tap more into the essence of what karate means for each of them, as well as the true spirit of the martial arts.

I am incredibly proud of each and every one of our students who made the effort to enter this grading session. I know that those who stay focused on the journey will achieve great things. As Sosai Mas Oyama said: One becomes a beginner after 1000 days of training. One becomes a master after 10,000 days of practice.

I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our black belts instructors and assistants: Senpai Mici, Senpai Oleg, Senpai Dany, Senpai Amelie and Senpai Arno for their invaluable assistance in conducting the grading.

Additionally, I'm grateful to all the volunteers who showed up to help with the kumite test. Your support and dedication to our dojo community are truly appreciated.

Congratulations to all our students who were promoted! Your hard work and commitment have paid off, and I look forward to seeing your continued growth and development in the art of Karate Kyokushin.

Congratulations to Logan, Maddison, Alexey and Ueda for being promoted to Black Belt 1st Dan.

Shihan Steve.

Osu!
