What is Kickboxing
The style of Kickboxing taught to your child is based off K-1 Kickboxing, which is a modern martial art and sport. Invented in Japan, it can be practiced for health & fitness, self-defense, or competition.
The fast pace of K-1 Kickboxing is ideal for training for fitness or for fighting.
However, your child is not required to spar, and if you simply wish them train for fun and fitness that’s okay.
If your child does chose to spar, he or she will be required to wear protective equipment and only invited to join in once they have mastered the basics.
Kids Kickboxing at CKMA
This is a great program for kids who don’t want the traditionalism of the Karate programs, but great for getting and staying in shape as well as learning a very practical form of self-defence.
Students will master drills, and techniques used in boxing, European Kickboxing, K-1 Kickboxing and Kyokushin Karate.
Classes include cardio and abdominal work, a full array of pad and bag work that will keep your child lean and fit, both physically as well as mentally.

Is Kickboxing for your child?
The Kids Kickboxing class has a variety of different components to the process. The whole premise behind the class is to get your child’s energy to release in a positive and disciplined manner. Each class varies but they all involve a strong workout that releases pent up energy from the kids.
The kids Kickboxing class is a great way for your children to make new friends. So many kids from all over the area get close attention from coach Steve Fogarasi in every class, while getting to hang out with other kids their age and grade. This helps build a child's confidence, social skills and coordination.
