Sempai Mici started training in kyokushin karate and kickboxing under Sensei Steve at Contact Kicks Dojo in 2005 when she moved to Denver , CO USA. Mici was always fascinated with oriental cultures and martial arts . She dedicated herself to training in martial arts not just as a hobby or a sport, but also a Way of Life .
 In 2006 , only after eight months of training and blue belt in Karate Kyokushin, she fought at the American International Karate Championship in Rochsetser NY in the womens light-weight full-contact kumite division, where she showed great fighting spirit and she lost by decision only after three rounds of hard fighting with the champion, who was an experienced brown belt with over five years of training.
In 2007 Mici tested for 5th Kyu yellow belt, with Hanshi Steve Arneil at the American IFKK Summer Training Camp in Rochester NY.
In 2008 she moved back to Romania with Sensei Steve, not only as a student now, but also as his fiance and later wife.
Today Sempai Mici is a black belt 1st Dan and she helps Sensei Steve to teach at Contact Kicks Dojo.
